Education

One of the focuses of Circle of the Green is education. We have programs set up for members pursuing Initiate Level degrees which include classes on basic Paganism and Wicca (when needed), First and Second Degree education courses, Initiate mentoring, workshops (on topics that include herbalism, Goddess mythology, and more ), and online group study.

Members with certain areas of expertise are invited to teach workshops and contribute their knowledge to the education of the group. We also share opinions, beliefs, personal experience, and study materials; all of which contribute to our growth.

To date our education opportunities have only been available to local participants. We are currently looking into distance learning and even an online circle for seekers all across the country.

Courses/Workshops

First Degree Curriculum
Year long journaling and course-work for members pursuing First Degree Initiation.

Second Degree Curriculum
For those wishing to advance to Second Degree who are willing to take on more responsibilities and a leadership role within the group.

Paganism/Wicca 101
Designed for brand new seekers just getting their feet wet as Pagans.

Goddess Mythology I
An intellectual and spiritual look at four major Goddesses, their mythology, and how their stories shape our idea of the Great Goddess.

Basic Practical Medicinal Herbalism
Workshop including information on a handfull of common herbs and preparation methods for use.

Seeing the Aura
Workshop that has participants seeing auras with only an hour or so of exercises.

Sacred Blood (Alternative Ideas on Menstruation)
Workshop on how menstruation has shaped our society and our connection with the Goddess. Includes alternative menstruation methods and a hands-on opportunity to learn how to craft your own moon pads at home.

Goddess Crafting
Various arts and crafts workshops where participants learn how to create altar figures and more.
